I got this done by Gwen Gersich at Formula Ink tattoo shop in Ft. Lauderdale. I’ve had the idea of getting a sugar skull for quite a while. I stumbled upon this tattoo shop after the LIGHTS! show at a venue next door. I went in and talked to the lady at the front desk. She told me she was does a special every march. Any tattoo fifty to one-hundred dollars! I then made an appointment right away and talked to her about how I wanted my tattoo(: About a week and a half later I got it done. Gwen did a beautiful job<3
Recently got my first tattoo. I wanted my first to be simple yet still hold meaning to me. I view them as my Warrior Stripes, something I have to fight for or earn for myself everyday. The first band represents the things that I want, and the second what I have to do get the things that I want. Ultimately, they are a reminder to me that I don’t want to be handed things in life, I want to work for what I desire, and I want to know that I earned it.
I got my tattoo at Tattoo & Co. in Miami, FL. It was done by the amazing Vincent Vazconez. He does amazing line work, and I couldn’t be happier with my first tattoo experience. I would recommend the shop to anyone, everyone there does outstanding work.
Done by the lovely Joy Rumore of Twelve 28 Tattoo in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. The thick band represents my parents, the thin bands represent my sisters.
I gained no weight this past weekend, although I paid no attention to what I was eating. I’ve lost nearly 40 pounds this year, so a successful weekend is kind of a big deal. I was looking for something more impressive to post as my first “gratitude journal” entry, but I did literally nothing today. After working all weekend, a day off is absolutely necessary. I suppose that’s something else to be grateful for.
